The primary goal of this article is to show theoretical and practical potential of the treatment of the society beyond harmony (the non-harmonic social order). Certain positions of Castoriadis’s and Lacan’s works are compared in the article. Both authors use psychoanalytic methodology in their theoretical constructions. Essential distinctions in research optics of these theorists are found out in the question of the possibilities and the price of social constructivism.
