Гендерные исследования как часть большого политического проекта: взгляд из Казахстана

Аннотация

From the standpoint of an insider who has devoted many
years to the development of gender studies in Kazakhstan, the
author reflects on the aims, results and long-term effects of the
political project of the West for the development of the post-Soviet
region. Gender studies, as a new area of scientific enquiry and a
new discipline in higher education has been a part of this project.
The author comes to the conclusion that the institutionalization of
gender studies in the region has unfortunately failed.
