The article is dedicated to comprehension of theses, ideas and
positions of the participants of the round table «December, 19 –
from non-politological perspective». !e author puts forward the
thesis about the intrinsic interrelation between University community
(academic corporation) as «social residence permit» of
an intellectual and his/her socio-critical function in the society.
!e article thematizes a question of the extent and character of
participation of University and its representatives in the political
life of the society, as well as the question of civil and professional
spheres parity, and the presence of Belarusian intellectuals in
public space.
