The article explores the impact of new mobile technologies on the practice of urban navigation. It discusses the theoretical aspects of the topic: understanding urban navigation as a form of anthropological experience of the citizen, the interaction between cities and technologies, etc. It outlines the main theoretical perspectives for the study of mobile navigation applications in the perspective of the "anthropology of digital city" (O. Zaporozhets, E. Lapina-Kratasyuk), which can be the basis for constructing an empirical research.
