The article is dedicated to the problem of a solidarity phenomenon. What is the source of solidarity? How is it connected with responsibility and freedom? What role does the Internet play in the development of solidarity? The problem of  solidarity is showed in two main ways: pragmatic (Rorty) and phenomenological (Patočka). The former is connected with the understanding of violence, the latter – with the situation of shaken, but not frightened people. Both of the ways show solidarity as a phenomenon which has its roots in responsibility and freedom. Internet activism is concerned to be one of the ways of how the solidarity works nowadays.
